Well, the big day finally came. My machine arrived. I went to my medical Supplier Brown's Advanced Care to pick it up.

The machine was a Respironics Series M Auto Bipap machine. The technician asked me if I had problems with the continuous pressure of cpap. I certainly did and had to fight the panic. I found it very hard to exhale against the pressure. The Doctor who prescribed my machine saw this in my sleep study and went with the bipap machine.

After the therapist showed me how the machine worked we strapped on the mask and turned it on. Panic still set in briefly but I quickly realized it was easier to exhale with the bipap. There is a cool feature called ramp that lets the machine start at a lower pressure for the 1st half hour. It will be much easier to start out that way and if you do not fall asleep in the 1st half hour you can re-start the ramp again.

My pressure was 18 for inhale and that feels like a hurricane wind to me. Amazing, but I am going to do everything I can to make this work. The more I found out about sleep apnea and the cumulative affects on your body the more determined I am to make this work. I would rather try to get used to this rather than trying to learn how to walk and talk again after a stroke. A man I know had a stroke and he seriously wishes he would have listened to his Doctor and had his sleep study.

I laid down with my machine today for an hour. It was still tough to do, but easier the cpap. I did not fall asleep, but I felt a little better. The machine forces you to breath deep and I got more oxygen into my system.

Well, tonight I have a date with my new machine. The hospital technician said the machine would be my new girlfriend...so trying to come up with a name. Will do that shortly. The Doc gave me some Ambien to help me out...so should have a good nights sleep finally.

8. How to Write A Press Release For Your Business

Once you know the basics involved in writing a Press Release, you’ll find it's a pretty simple process to put one together. In fact, if you conform to "industry standards" and include the information that reporters and editors are expecting to find, your press release stands a very good chance of actually being used.

Here are the formatting rules you need to follow:

Use proper form when typing. Using all caps is like shouting at someone and it will turn them off. NEVER SUBMIT A PRESS RELEASE IN ALL UPPER CASE LETTERS. As you can see, it’s much more difficult to read that way.

Always follow the rules of grammar and style. Errors in grammar and style affect your credibility. Excessive errors will cause your press release to be rejected.

Don't use HTML. When sending your press release to online Media, do not embed HTML or other markup languages in it. Including such formatting will negatively impact the readability of your press release.

Use more than one paragraph. If you can say everything in only a few sentences, then chances are you do not have a newsworthy story. (*Note: You may hear that your press release should “never” be more than one page long. I have found that a press release should be as long as it takes to tell your story. If that means one and a-half or two pages, then that’s how long it should be. Do your best to keep it short and sweet, but don’t take out important information just to make it fit on one page.)

Include a summary paragraph for online submissions. Some online news services request that you include a one-page summary of your press release. This is because some distribution points only receive your headline, summary and a link to your press release. If you are submitting to online services, not including the summary paragraph may reduce the effectiveness of your press release. This is not usually necessary with print, television or radio media.

Write your press release with good software such as Microsoft Word. When you’ve finished writing it, print it out, and proofread it. Rewrite, edit, and proofread again, until you've got it exactly how you want it, and there are no mistakes. Because most people have a harder time proofreading their own writing, ask someone you trust to proofread it for you.

Do not include your e-mail address in the body of your release -- especially when submitting your press release online, or publishing your press release on your Website or in your blog. You can include your email address in the contact information if you wish, but if it goes online, be prepared to be spammed, since it’s going into public domain. Most online media services will have a place for your email address in the submission process, for your protection, and most of your local media will prefer a telephone number to contact you with.

Here is a basic template you can use when writing your Press Release:

Starting at the top of the page, on your company letterhead, write the words "PRESS RELEASE" in all capital letters, centered and bolded.

Hit the enter-bar twice, so you go down two lines. On the left hand side of the page, write the date you want the information to be released, or if it's "FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE" write that, again in all CAPS and bolded. On the same line, but to the far right, write the words "CONTACT INFORMATION" again, bolded and in capital letters. Go down to the next line, and list the contact person and their phone number.

It's always a good idea to have two contact people whenever possible and two phone numbers for each of them -- for example, the office number and cell phone numbers. You can also put your email address here.

Hit the enter-bar twice again, and type in your headline next. (It needs to be centered and bolded, but not necessarily in all CAPS). Your headline needs to be short, snappy and relevant. You want it to grab the reader's attention.

Go down two spaces again. The body of your press release should be double spaced, and typed in an easy to read 12 in font, such as Times New Roman or Arial. Leave lots of white space in your press release -- use at least one to two inch margins around your page.

The first paragraph of your press release needs to provide the reader with enough basic information to make them keep reading. It should answer the "W" questions -- who, what, when, and where and why. Because you've only got a few sentences, make every word count.

The second paragraph of your press release will answer the "so what" question. It needs to explain who is going to be interested in this information, and why they should care about it. The second paragraph is an ideal place to include a quote, or a touchie-feely "Kodak" moment, to add human interest to your story.

The third (and often final) paragraph of your press release should answer any other questions the reporter or journalist might still have about your story. Here is where you can include information about your company, or any technical stuff.

Make your press release long enough to say what you need to say. If it goes beyond one page, then centered under the last line on the first page, write the word "MORE" in all caps and bold it.

Then on the second page, on the top right hand side of the page, write "Page 2" and on the line under that, write the title of your press release again.

Continue where you left off. When your press release is finished, put these symbols centered under the last line "###" (without the quotation marks.) This lets the reader know that you're done.

That's all there is to it. Although the information you provide will be different each time you write a press release, the basic format will always stay the same. Now you've got enough information to be able to write your first press release. So, "write" on and good luck!

I thought it would be fitting to host a patriotic post today and came acrossed a troubling one. We all need to take heed and keep this country strong.

What does it mean to be an American? According to E Pluribus Unum, a new report issued by the Bradley Project on America’s National Identity, Americans’ ability to answer to that question correctly is in serious decline.

Being an American has nothing to do with race, religion or any other “blood” or “dirt” attributes that define citizenship in practically every other country in the world. In other words, we are not Americans by birth or boundary, but by a core of commonly held ideas such as those so eloquently expressed in our Declaration of Independence. Nations that derive their identity from a common race or ethnicity perpetuate themselves through birth of children. But a nation, such as America, that is founded on ideas perpetuates itself by passing on those ideas and principles to each new generation of its children and to each new group of immigrants. It appears we are no longer doing that for our children or for our immigrant population.

The Bradley report found that 63 percent of Americans believe our national identity is weakening and 24 percent believe the nation is now so segmented that a common identity is no longer possible. A more troubling finding is that 45 percent of the 18-34 year olds polled believe international law should trump the United States Constitution when there is a conflict between the two.

The Bradley Project focuses on the entire population, including immigrants who are now estimated to represent one in eight of the U.S. population. According to their report, immigrants are not learning the essential lessons of America’s history or our guiding principles, which makes assimilation into our society even more difficult. Even more troubling, almost half of our children are growing up without the core knowledge needed to have a well-formed appreciation for America’s national identity.

Others have taken note of the failure to patriotically assimilate immigrants into our country. In a March 30, 2006 article, writer Peggy Noonan points out that we are failing to teach them the great legend of our country. What is the legend? Noonan wrote, “That God made this a special place. That they’re joining something special.”

This begs the question: what does make America special?

It is not our economy, though our Gross Domestic Product is by far the largest in the world. It is not our military strength, though we are the world’s only superpower. And it is not our incredible abundance of natural resources, though we are blessed like no other nation.

We are special among all the nations in the history of the world because of the ideals on which America was founded. These ideals, rooted in Christian faith and nourished by reason, along with our history, are the substance of what it means to be an American. These are the lessons that must be taught and reinforced to all our citizens native-born and immigrant if this nation on is to endure.

As the Bradley report states, “… being an American involves an ethos as well as ideas, a way of life as well as a commitment to common values. It is based on a history that stretches into the ancient past and that has tested us severely on this continent. It is embodied in distinctive attitudes to everything from how we worship to how we make our living.”

It is imperative that we teach these ideals to every generation of Americans and those who come to America. More importantly, they must be taught patriotism � that sense off being part of something so special and so much larger than their own interests that they would sacrifice to protect and perpetuate it. As the Bradley report points out, we can only defend what we believe in. What we believe in is determined largely by what we are taught.

As the Bradley report and other studies are indicating, we are not getting the job done.

I know several small business owners and the administration side of the business just is a real time killer. Many work after hours just to process all the paperwork needed to keep there business running. 15-16 hour days are a reality.

Working a networkmarketing business takes away alot of the hassle. No employees, no insurance work, workers comp, ect. You are your own boss. Set your own hours. Work when you can or want to. Is it all roses? No, of course not. You have to treat it like a business in order for it to PAY like a business.

But..it is there...the brass ring. The opportunity is the same for you as it is everyone else. Yours to grab and run with. When you aren't fixing things of course!

19. Needed-Tractor Parts from my MLM Home Based Business

I have a few acres here in Michigan and I depend on my Oliver 550 to help me maintain it. I get the old tractor out several times a year for bush hogging or to clear our long hilly driveway. The last time I used it...it started running funny. I put it into the pole barn and forgot about it. The next day I went to start it and found out the engine was seized up. Found out why it was running strange.

I tore the motor apart and I need a new crank shaft. The rod bearings melted to the crank destroying them both. Ok, now this is a big blow to a man. Losing his tractor. Songs have been written about it. I could probably create a new song right now with the words I said in my pole barn. Well, I would have to clean it up, but you know what I mean.

So, what the heck does this have to do with my home based business? Well, I earn a hourly wage from my current civil servant job. I cannot go to my boss and tell him that my tractor is broke so I need a raise to fix it. But... I can work a little harder in my natural vitamin supplement business!

That is the neat thing about a home business. it is your business, so you work on it as much or as little as you want. I have a little extra motivation now. The guys at work all listen to country, so I have heard those tractor songs. Now, I have my own.

26. Take life for granted?

I think we all do at times. I was reminded how mortal we are this past week. A good man past away that I worked with. He was doing a routine task and just past away. He was 53. Way to young.

His passing really shook me up. He was seemingly very healthy, but was called back home.

27. Key Word Density For You MLM Homebased Business

Keyword density is an indicator of the number of times the selected keyword appears in the web page. But mind you, keywords shouldn't be over used, but should be just sufficient enough to appear at important places.

If you repeat your keywords with every other word on every line, then your site will probably be rejected as an artificial site or spam site.

Keyword density is always expressed as a percentage of the total word content on a given web page.

Suppose you have 100 words on your webpage (not including HMTL code used for writing the web page), and you use a certain keyword for five times in the content. The keyword density on that page is found by simply dividing the total number of keywords, by the total number of words that appear on your web page. So here it is 5 divided by 100 = .05. Because keyword density is a percentage of the total word count on the page, multiply the above by 100, that is 0.05 x 100 = 5%

The accepted standard for a keyword density is between 3% and 5%, to get recognized by the search engines and you should never exceed it.

Simple steps to check the density:

Copy and paste the content from an individual web page into a word-processing software program like Word or Word Perfect.

Go to the Edit menu and click Select All. Now go to the Tools menu and select Word Count. Write down the total number of words in the page.

Now select the Find function on the Edit menu. Go to the Replace tab and type in the keyword you want to find. Replace that word with the same word, so you don't change the text.

When you complete the replace function, the system will provide a count of the words you replaced. That gives the number of times you have used the keyword in that page. Using the total word count for the page and the total number of keywords you can now calculate the keyword density.

Remember, that the density rule applies to every page on your Web Site . It also applies to not just to one keyword but also a set of keywords that relates to a different product or service.

This weekend my wife and I traveled to our cabin in the northern woods of Michigan. The cabin started out as a hunting spot in the 50's Over the years we have made improvements, but we really stepped it up the last 10 years. Now we have a cabin that is family friendly too. It is an awesome spot to vacation. Nice and quiet. We are 5 miles from town. So far out that there are no power lines. We do have a generator now and the place is wired for more modern convenience.

This trip we had 16 close family members at the cabin. We cooked over a campfire. We fought off the mosquitos but had a great time sitting around the campfire and catching up on each others lives. There were 4 generations of my wife's family there.

There are several reasons this is relevant to a home business. Having the time to do this trip is most always a desire of someone starting a home business. Time freedom.

Money. Not necessarily money, but the things that money allows you to do. Without the extra money, we would not have modified the cabin to make it a family friendly retreat. It takes money to make a trip like this and the costs are rinsing rapidly. To keep up this tradition, extra income will be needed.

The memories we generated this weekend are priceless.

I came across a post that was getting a lot of exposure on the net. Kind of upset me a little. There are a lot of very good people out there marketing excellent companies that they believe in. With products they love and depend on I might add.

There is a lot of fear based marketing these days. Have you noticed? I want to give you a personal example of how the law of attraction has worked for me. This is a little off topic of a home based business but the principles apply.

One of my hobbies is old muscle cars. Mopar specifically. I admire other brands, but I own Mopars. I have a 1968 Charger R/T with a very hot motor. I get 3 Mopar magazines in the mail and devour every word inside. About 2003 I started noticing an ad for a complete 5 speed set up that was bolt in for cars like mine.

Every time I saw the ad I told myself I was going to have that transmission. I even imagined myself installing the 5 speed and then driving it. Every time I saw the ad...which was 20-30 times a month. Sometimes the scenario would last a few seconds like a fast forward movie or several minutes. I did not do this with the law of attraction in mind, but rather the intense admiration for my hobbies....ok...I love my car. That's possible right??

Anyway, in the summer of 2005 I went to the Mopar nationals. The vendor with the transmission was there. I looked them over and talked with the techs awhile. As I was leaving one of them said, "Hey, you forgot to sign up for our drawing. We are giving a transmission setup away." I went ahead and signed up and then left the booth.

I had completely forgot about the drawing when in December I got a phone call from the vendor. Yep, I won! I was astounded. This package was worth $4,995.00.

They shipped it to me and I installed it in my car. My car is just as much fun driving it as I imagined.

After awhile I started thinking about the whole process. I had focused my mind on the intention of having that transmission. Instead of buying it, I won it. The universe works in very mysterious ways.

Ok, how do you apply this in you home based business. Set an intention, visualize it happening, then forget about it until the next time you visualize it happening. Make it something that can obtained, like the next level promotion, 3 new distributors, 1000 more volume points, ect.. the mind is a very powerful tool. There are no limits to what you can create. Thoughts do become things.

Environmentally Safe Organic Household Cleaner

I had been hearing a lot about Shaklee's Basic H2 cleaner on conference calls. I thought..well maybe I had better get that out of the closet and try it. I had given it to my wife and she thought she would finish up the cleaners she had first. One woman had stated that the Basic H2 cleaned better than anything she had used, even on the worst grime and grease.

I thought about what the hardest to clean item I had was and.... Oh My God....I remembered my gun. I had shot my black powder muzzle loader and put it away intending on cleaning it the next day. I had used it hunting (in December and this is July!) and had bagged a deer with it and took care of that first. Any one that shoots black powder guns knows you do not leave them uncleaned.

So I got out my Basic H2 and quickly mixed up a 16 oz. batch with 1 1/2 tsp. to the rest water. I was very interested to see how it would perform on my gun. I laid out some newspaper on my kitchen counter. (sorry ladies..us men do that kind of thing when you are gone. My wife was at work. It is the flattest, cleanest surface available.) Then I pulled the breech plug out of my gun. I got out a clean bowl and sprayed the Basic H2 on the plug in the bowl. I was astounded to see the black powder residue run off the breech plug.

Then I put together my cleaning rod and attached a rag to the end. I sprayed some basic H2 onto the rag and ran it though the barrel a few times. I did this with 2 rags. I looked through the barrel (with the breech plug out you can look straight through the barrel of this inline muzzle loader) I was very impressed as 2 rags took out 80% of the residue. I attached a wire brush onto my cleaning rod and sprayed it with Basic H2. I ran this back and forth through the barrel a dozen times and then took a couple of clean rags down the barrel to finish the job. Then I looked down the inside of the barrel again. This gun barrel has not been that shiny since it was new!

I normally use some heavy solvents to clean this gun. I never touched them. There was no need to. The Basic H2 just replaced some very heavy duty chemicals. I cleaned up my newspapers on the counter and wiped it cleaned easily. Then I noticed the floor. I had forgot to cover the floor where my cleaning rod was coming out the end of the barrel. I did not panic..I just grabbed the basic H2 and sprayed it on the floor and wiped it up with a few paper towels. This is one amazing cleaner. I am forever sold.
